Very good morning friends Hotel Alamo!, today I share with you a big surprise that I took a few days ago when I got one of the most popular villages and especially peculiar to the Province of Alicante ….Gata de Gorgos!
To say about this village of artists, bohemian, where the talent of each of its inhabitants breathe and even visitors, either by being an artist and show in every corner of its white streets expressiveness of the soul, or assess their enjoying work through strokes and colors that these printed for this wonderful town, but above all, that wonder that municipalities such as this people promote cultural activities like this.
… I was getting further from its wrapped streets in colorful paintings adorning each of the balconies of the main streets of Gata de Gorgos who danced to the sound of wind blowing gently … busy eyes lost in each of these works expressed the view hundreds of artists from around the world … had just landed at the seventh edition of “Art al Vent”, a nice discovery.
The protagonists are once again the wind as an element of nature, merged with art as human expression, an interesting combination and great beauty.
The gatenses and strangers, we joined in the streets to support and enjoy this initiative, along with some of the authorities of the town and neighboring villages, as I could observe.
Gilbert was Professor, School of Experimental Practice Antonio Vives, who since its inception, he promoted this event that is slowly consolidating and expanding borders, as this year hosts more than 100 national and international artists, as I was told to get interested in this spectacular view.
A very nice gentleman originally from there, I was explaining the origin of this art, and not only stayed there but these works will become after being exposed for 22 days in the village, in traveling, appearing in different world places like Morocco and Germany, ending their journey in Spanish lands, as Cuenca.
Last year, they crossed the pond to Mexico and our neighbor Portugal, so I was spellbound listening to this generous being, when suddenly I began to hear a rhythm to the sound of timbales that piqued my attention to an alley where they began to appear dancers emulating what they said was “bous al carrer” something very typical in Valencia.
My body was possessed by that rhythm, as well as of all present, and that was the work of one of the most important African percussionists that today exist and headed that vision, his name Dauda Diange, a true genius.
So after this adventure, I have no one to reccomend this town, at this time or any … because if you like art, color, life !, I can not lose you. Hundreds of artisans and artists live here, and make the visit into a dream that you would not want to wake up.
We return to our work in the hotel, to give the best service, full of joy and all those emotions that fill your soul, so welcome you with our best smiles and make you stay as pleasant as possible !, See you soon !
